Drury Design will be donating 360˚ HD Cameras to a select group of university film departments and hosting a virtual reality film competition.
- Students will be able to rent the camera out from their school's equipment rental shops and create any kind of short film they please.
- Submissions will be uploaded to a YouTube channel.
- Drury will select a group of finalists and these films will be shown through VR Goggles at RISD's design week event in Brooklyn.
- Attendees of the event will vote for the winners in three categories: narrative, experimental, and documentary.
- Winners will receive cash prizes
This competition will allow students to learn and experiment with emerging technology that is reshaping the possibilities of story telling.
